Skippy's Blog
Hi Folks,
It's been awhile since I have bloged.  It's been a busy summer here in Northern Michigan.  We had the pitter patter of little paws running around and they were a lot of work.  You folks out there who have senior dogs should be grateful as we are so easy to care for.

Speaking of senior dogs do you know that November is adopt a senior month.  Midwest Schipperke rescue has partnered with Pet-finders.com to promote senior adoption.  So in keeping with senior adoption I would like to announce The Purple Pillow SocietyThe Purple Pillow Society is for our senior dogs who are in foster-care.  They are available for virtual adoption as well as well as physical adoption.  Though virtual adoption you can help care for a special senior.  You will also receive regular updates on your special senior.  This is a great way to have a dog even if you can't physically care for one.  So remember to click on The Purple Pillow Society button and check out our senior dogs.

Interestingly enough if any of you get the Schipperke Club of America's Bulletin this issue is dedicated to veterans.  Do you think there is a conspiracy to promote seniors in November?  If you get the Bulletin check out Skippy's Corner written by your's truly.  If you don't  get the Bulletin and would like to, you can log on to www.schipperkeclub-usa.org.  There you can look around and subscribe to the Bulletin.  It's the official publication of the Schipperke Club of America and dedicated to us Schipperkes.

With November here the holidays are right around the corner.  The holiday season is a good time to donate to rescue or your local shelter.  Rescue and shelter dogs are always in need of bedding, toys, collars, leashes, food, and of course TREATS! So when you're out shopping for the holidays please think about a gift for a rescue or shelter dog.  If you have space in your household maybe you could volunteer to foster a rescue or shelter dog for the holidays.  Anything you can do to help is appreciated.
Happy Holidays to All!
